Day 40: Shopping

Mun huoneen parveke / My little balcony!

Herättiin aamusella ja tarkotuksena oli lähteä oli lähteä ostelemaan uuteen kämppään kaikkea perustavaraa ja elintarvikkeita mitä puuttuu. Ajateltiin että käydään ekalla kierroksella (piti tehä monta koska ei oltais jaksettu kahestaan Emmin kanssa kantaa kaikkea kerralla) ostamassa pesuaineet että voidaan laittaa pyykit pyörimään. Noh, Kontxilta oli tullut viesti: "Did you  notice that there is no hot water?" KIVA. Ei me oltais tarvittukaan. Ei vielä tässä vaiheessa tiedetty missä se vika oikein on.. Eli jäi pyykinpeseminen väliin. Noissa koneissa vissiin on kyllä omat lämmittimet, että se kone ottaa kylmän veden ja sitte lämmittää sen ite? Ei kuitenkaano oltu varmoja tosta kivikautisesta koneesta niin ei otettu riskiä. Lähettiin siis ostoksille hiukan kiukkusina.. Suihkussakaan ei oltu kumpikaan käyty vähään aikaan ja nytkään ei päästäis... Noh, kuitenkin käytiin siis ostamassa niitä pesuaineita, keittiöön välineitä, pastaa, riisiä, mausteita, vessapaperia jne..

We woke up in the morning to go do some groceries and to buy some basic things that were still missing from the flat. We wanted to buy laundry detergent on the first round (we had to go several times to the store because we couldn't carry everything at once :P) so that we could do the laundry immediately.. But. We got a message from Kontxi: "Did you notice that there is no hot water?" Nice. Like we didn't need it... So we couldn't do laundry. We heard that the laundry machines usually warm the water by itself but we were not sure about our 100 years old Spanish one.. We were quite pissed off but what can you do. It would also have been nice to take a shower..Well, then we just went to do the groceries etc.

Kun oltiin saatu ostokset tehtyä, lähettiin metrolla kauppakeskus Diagonal del Mariin. Nähtiin Susu siellä ja mentiin saman tien syömään Hollywood nimiseen paikkaan. Arvaatte varmaan millanen ravintola se oli haha.. Otettiin menu del dia, eli alku-, pää- ja jälkiruoka juomalla 10,90€. Otin alkupalaksi päivän keiton mikä sattu olemaan oikeen kermainen ja juustoinen sipulikeitto! oi nam. Pääruoaks burgeri ja jälkiruuaks mansikkajäätelöä. Mahat täynnä lähettiin kiertämään kolmikerroksista kauppakeskusta! Oli muuten aika iso verrattuna esim. Kamppiin.. Mentiin ensin Primarkiin ja siellä menikin varmaan tunnin verran. Ostin ihan perus rentoiluhousut, hupparin, koruja ja tyynyliinoja! Täällä nimittäin standardikoko tyynyille on semmonen pitkula, eli mun kotoota tuoma tyynyliina ei oikeen sovi... Emmin kanssa ostettiin vielä kämpille pari pyyhettä ja vessatuoksu:P Seuraavaksi kierrettiin Bershka, Stradivarius, Mango, Zara jne... Ja sitte ei vaan jaksettu enää. Vielä jäi kauppoja koluumatta mutta onhan tässä vielä aikaa :) Metrolla kotiin ja illalla ei tehty mitään erityistä. Muutenkin oltiin sovittu että vietetään ihan vaan kotiviikonloppu, ei biletystä!;)

When we were done with the groceries we took a metro towards a shopping mall called Diagonal del Mar. We met Susu there and went immediately to a restaurant called Hollywood. I think you can figure out what kind of a restaurant it was;) I took the "menu del dia" which included a starter, main course, dessert and one drink for 10,90€. For starter I took the soup of the day which was a really creamy&cheesy onion soup, delicious. Burger for main course and strawberry ice cream for dessert. With our stomachs full of food we started the shopping tour. First to Primark and I think we spend like one hour there.. I bought a pair of college pants, a hoodie, jewelry and pillowcases! Here the standard size for a pillow is totally different than in Finland so actually I can't use the pillowcases I brought from Finland. We also bought something to our flat with Emmi, some towels and stuff. Next destination: Bershka, Stradivarius, Mango, Zara etc.. And then we couldn't do it anymore. We didn't even go to all the stores we wanted, YET ;) After an exhausting shopping day we took the metro back home and didn't do anything in the evening. We had also made a promise that this weekend we wont party:P Early to bed and that's about it!
