Breda

Yhtenä sumuisena päivänä lähettiin käymään R:n kanssa Bredassa. Junalla matka taittui n. tunnissa muistaakseni. Mitään sen kummempaa suunnitelmaa meillä ei ollut, kunhan vaan kierreltiin. Heti aluksi koettiin hämmennyksen hetkiä kun matkalla asemalta keskustaan olevassa puistossa oli vapaana kanoja, kukkoja ja siis semmosia lemmikkikaneja? Joku Bredassa asuva vois vähän valottaa tätä, onko ne aina siellä? :D

One foggy day we went for a day trip to Breda with R. We went there with the train, it took about 1 hour I think. We didn't have any plans for the day, just to walk around the city. Right in the beginning we ran into some chickens, roosters and little bunnies (like pet bunnies, not wild ones) in a park nearby the station!?! Would be nice if someone who lives in Breda could clear this for us, are they always there and what is the point? :D

Ihan keskustan lähettyviltä bongattiin jonkunnäkönen historiallinen museo&linna. Meillä kävi hyvä tuuri, koska se museo oli ilmainen, avattu edellisellä viikolla ja auki vain tiistaisin. Käytiin siis pikaisesti kiertämässä se, vaikkei kumpikaan olla mitään historia fiilistelijöitä. Museo oli tosi pieni ja symppis, esillä oli kaikkea krääsää sodan ajalta.

Right before the city center we ran into a museum&castle. We were pretty lucky since the museum was free of charge, it had been opened just last week and it was only open on Tuesdays. We visited the museum quickly even though neither of us is that into history... The museum was quite small and cute, mainly it had all sorts of things that had remained from the war. 

Koska kyseessä on Hollanti, tottakai museossa oli sodanaikaisia oluita&tarvikkeita! /  Since we were in Holland, of course the museum had some beer & beer equipment that had been used during the war

Muuten päivä kului ihan vaan kaupunkia kierrellessä, shoppaillen ja kahvitellen. Tykkäsin Bredasta tosi paljon, ja opiskelijakaupunkina siellä on iltaisin varmaan hyvä meno.. Täytyy joskus siis tehdä toinen reissu ;)

Hyvinkin hollantilainen lounas 't Hart va Breda -kahvilassa: leipää ja jääteetä (kuplilla!) / A pretty Dutch lunch at the 't Hart van Breda -cafe: a sandwich and ice tea (with bubbles!)


Vielä on muutama postaus viimeisimmästä reissusta jäljellä, ja itseasiassa seuraavan reissun lennot on jo kiikarissa.. :) / There's still a few posts coming about my last trip to Holland, and actually the flights for the next one are already almost bought.. :)
